Holy Land Olive Wood

First of all, some of the products we are especially known for are our Holy Land Olive Wood line of products. These are hand-carved by skilled Christian artisans in Bethlehem, the birthplace of the Savior! We are happy to support them and their craft, making the work of their hands available for a great many people to see all around the world. It is our pleasure to bless the business of our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ overseas.

Olive wood is sturdy, hard wood, making it an excellent candidate for wood carving. The intricacy of detail that can be achieved in hand-carved olive wood is unmatched, and this quality also means that our hand-carved Holy Land Olive Wood products come in an incredible variety of shapes and sizes. We have things as small and intricate as olive wood necklaces and things as grand and rich in detail as full olive wood nativity sets.

An especially unique detail of our Holy Land Olive Wood products is, well, just how unique each one is! By the very nature of hand-carved wood, each one will be different from the last. Even if you were to order two of the exact same product, the unique wood grain means that the two of them would have totally different natural patterns displayed upon their surfaces. This really speaks to the creativity of God; every tree is unique, with its own inner rings and its own grain pattern. If this is the case, how much more so must he have made each and every one of us unique? In both talent and appearance, remember that the words of Psalm 139:13-14 ring true for you, “For you [God] formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Christian Bookmarks & Scripture Cards

Next, we are proud to offer an incredible variety of Christian bookmarks and scripture cards. Though they are in different sizes and have different uses, both the Christian bookmarks and the scripture cards do have a couple of things in common. The first is that we ensure that each and every one is based on a foundational principle of scripture, and most of them have the scripture printed upon them. So whether you’re looking at Christian bookmarks for kids or simply trying to find some small scripture cards to pass along to others, you can be confident that we are offering products designed to strengthen faith and promote an understanding of the truth of God’s Word.

However, there is another reason these two products are related. Both of them are printed in Antioch, a city in modern-day Turkey with great Biblical significance. Antioch, was the first step of the apostle Paul’s very first missionary journey, so it represents both early Christianity as well as early missionary work to spread the gospel. More than just it’s significance in the story of scripture, we are happy to work with a printer from Antioch, Turkey, because we feel that it is a strategic location to support the growth of Christian business and Christian missions in order to achieve our goal of helping the gospel spread in the Middle East.

Our Role as Logos Trading Post

Yes, though we are not currently in a place to reach the Middle East ourselves, we do feel a connection with Paul’s words in Romans 10:13-15, which says, “For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ Howe then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feel of those who preach the good news!’.” Perhaps our role is not as beautiful as the role of the missionary, but we do still believe that what we do is important in the Kingdom of God. By running a good business built on integrity and God’s Word, we are able to play the role of those sending the gospel preachers.
