Logos Trading Post: A Diverse Faith-Filled Marketplace

God says through His prophet in Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” We believe in a living God, active within His creation and within the lives of His people. After all, has He not sent us the Holy Spirit to dwell within us and guide us? He is unchanging indeed; as the writer of Hebrews 13:8 tells, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Though He does not falter or change, He is still always doing a new thing before us. Every day He is at work if we are just willing to look close enough in faith, Spirit, and truth.

Like God is always up to something new, so are we at Logos Trading Post! We are proud to carry a tremendous variety of Christian gift and Christian décor products, and we are only growing as a business. Since we are experiencing great growth thanks to believers just like you, we are able to expand what we have available for you to browse, purchase, and enjoy for yourself! As such, we have taken care to make sure that new additions to our website appear on this page so that you can see the freshest things we have to offer all in one place.

All in all, we have a great many products and a great many kinds of products. We couldn’t possibly write to tell you about them all! However, we would like to direct your attention for a moment to two of our largest categories of products, since they are the most likely to get new items: our Holy Land Olive Wood products and our Christian bookmarks and scripture cards. Let us bring some light to these two product lines!

Holy Land Olive Wood

First, there is our Holy Land Olive Wood, one of our best-selling categories of products. These olive wood carvings bear “Holy Land” in the title because they are indeed from the Holy Land. Yes, that’s something we’re quite proud of! Our Christian olive wood products are all made from genuine olive wood from olive trees found  in the Holy Land. Not to mention, they are carved by hand there as well, in Bethlehem to be exact, the birthplace of Jesus, the Son of God and our Savior! Who better to craft products that bring Him honor and tell His story than those who continue to live in the town where He first came to be with us?

There is a certain beauty and novelty to having a piece of olive wood hand-carved in the Holy Land, but we believe there is more to it than that. We wish to utilize our business of Logos Trading Post as a source of good in the world. As such, we think it is strategic to work with artisans in the Holy Land for a couple of reasons. First, we are supporting Christian business there, giving our brothers and sisters an opportunity to thrive in a region that is increasingly set against Christianity, the Middle East as a whole. Second, we are dedicating a portion of the proceeds from these products to support local ministries in the area, contributing to one of our key missions as Logos Trading Post: helping to spread the gospel in the Middle East. It is our joy to serve as an ally of both Christian commerce and Christian commission in the Holy Land, and we believe our Holy Land Olive Wood products help us to play that role especially well.

Christian Bookmarks & Scripture Cards

Next, there are our Christian bookmarks and scripture cards. Naturally, these are either bookmark style - to be used as Bible bookmarks or as Christian bookmarks for any book - or they are card style - designed to be passed to others, like a business card, yet for the purpose of encouragement in faith! In either case, these Christian bookmarks and scripture cards are designed with Biblical principles and the words of scripture in mind, many of them bearing direct quotes from scripture upon their surface.

Now, these are not made in the Holy Land like our Holy Land Olive Wood products, but they exist to serve a similar purpose. We have instead chosen to work with printers who operate out of Antioch, Turkey, but we believe this is a strategic choice. First of all, Antioch of modern day Turkey has its own note of Biblical significance; in the days of early Church and early mission, it was the very first stop of Paul the apostle’s first journey as a missionary, making the people of Antioch the first people reached in that capacity and enabling the gospel to spread even further from there. It is for a similar reason that we work with those in Antioch. We believe it enables Christian business to have a strong and stable position in the Middle East, and through them God may be honored and revealed. Of course, in addition to this, a portion of the proceeds from these Christian bookmarks and scripture cards goes to support ministries in the area and mission throughout the Middle East, like it is for the Holy Land Olive Wood products.

Our Role as Logos Trading Post

As you may see, we are careful to consider our role as a Christian business. We are a business seeking profit for our own families and to bless those around us, but we also have a role in ministry, and we don’t take it lightly. Romans 10:13-15 comes often to our minds, in which it is written, “For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?”

We may not be going to the Middle East as missionaries for ourselves, but we can still be a part of the mission that is going on there. We believe that, as a business, we are in the perfect position to support and send those who preach the gospel. Not to mention, you are too!
