LOGOS TRADING POST - PURPOSE PASS ALONG SCRIPTURE CARDS

Redeemed From Something For Something

Ephesians 4:11-12 says, “The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.” We all have a unique calling, and God has been faithful to equip us with the gifts necessary to fulfill it through the presence of His Spirit. It is our joy, then, to provide scripture cards to our fellow believers that help assure them that they have a purpose in the Kingdom of God, big or small, near or far. This in mind, we have assembled on this page five of our pass along scripture cards that we believe especially encourage faith in God’s purpose for each and every one of us. Let us take a moment and discuss the five verses written on these Bible verse cards!

God Has a Purpose for You - Let Jeremiah 29:11 Encourage You!

Our first pass along scripture card on this page has Jeremiah 29:11 written on it, which says, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” This is a classic verse, but no less true. Written for God’s people in Babylon during the Exilic Period, this verse would have been an especially radical declaration in the midst of what they were going through! This was written to people who had lost their home and many of the freedoms they had, even the freedom to worship God openly for a time. Even with all that they had been through, God assured them that He had greater things in store for them. Let us remember this on our own journeys: God has plans for us full of blessings and hope, no matter how hard things may be for now. This is the heart behind our Jeremiah 29:11 pass along scripture cards.

God Has a Purpose for You-  Let Romans 8:28 Encourage You!

Another one of our pass along scripture cards has Romans 8:28 written on it, which says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Like the previous verse, these words of Paul assure us that we have a purpose that rises above the trouble that we face. We are indeed called according to His purpose, so we can have faith that everything we go through, no matter how small or how difficult, He is weaving it all together for our good; He sees what we can’t see, and He knows what will come together to be best for us! This is the heart behind our Romans 8:28 pass along scripture cards.

God Has a Purpose for You - Let Matthew 5:16 Encourage You!

Another one of our pass along scripture cards Matthew 5:16 written on it, which says, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” God is our strength and He is good to us, but here we have a challenge He gives through His Son - a responsibility for us to take hold of. In all the good that we do in this world - in every positive difference that we make - let us remember that we are doing it all that the world’s attention may be drawn to the God who inspires us to do so. This is the heart behind our Matthew 5:16 pass along scripture cards.

God Has a Purpose for You - Let Exodus 9:16 Encourage You!

Another one of our pass along scripture cards has Exodus 9:16 written on it, which says, “But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” These words, first spoken by God to Moses, echo God’s intentions in raising us up even to this day. When we rise to the occasion of living out our God given purpose, we make God known through our acts of faith. It could be said, then, that our highest purpose is to bring God glory before all, our other purposes and tasks only acting as a means by which we can do so. This is the heart behind our Exodus 9:16 pass along scripture cards.

God Has a Purpose for You - Let John 15:5 Encourage You!

The final one of our pass along scripture cards on this page has John 15:5 written on it, which says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” In all of our excitement to do great things for God, we would do well not to forget these critical words of Jesus. We can get excited after having a wonderful encounter with God - so excited sometimes that we forget to walk alongside Him to where we’re going rather than rushing on. Let us always remember that God not only provides us with a purpose, but He also provides the means to accomplish it through His own presence. This is the heart behind our John 15:5 pass along scripture cards!
